Abstract

As one of the basic materials of modern building construction, concrete is currently experiencing rapid progress. Research on the composition of SCC materials is still being developed to obtain a better material composition. Superlasticizer is one of the important ingredients in the production of SCC. The purpose of this study was to determine the compressive strength value of concrete in SCC concrete with the addition of Sika Viscocrete 3115-N and the addition of Polycarboxylate PCE 520. This study used variations of the addition of Sika Viscocrete 3115-N and Polycarboxylate PCE 520 of 0%, 0.6%, 1.2%, 1.8% respectively and used a quality of 40 MPa. The method used in this research is a direct experimental method in the laboratory. The results of this study can be concluded that the highest slump flow value in PCE 520 is 740 mm and Sika Viscocrete 3115-N is 800 mm. The highest L-Shape Box value on PCE 520 and Sika Viscocrete 3115-N is 1.00 mm. The V-Funnel value for PCE 520 and Sika Viscocrete 3115-N is 6 seconds. The highest compressive strength value was obtained in the addition of PCE 520 0.6% variation of 44.48 MPa with a percentage value of 8.33% against normal concrete and Sika Viscocrete 3115-N of 42.8 MPa with a percentage value of 4.27% against normal concrete. With a difference of 1.98 MPa (0.046%), it can be concluded that the addition of PCE 520 to SCC concrete is more effective for increasing compressive strength compared to Sika Viscocrete 3115-N.
